Stopped here for lunch on the way to Chicago. Unimpressed.
I was spending valentines day weekend with my girlfriend and wasn't looking to travel as far as galena for a bite to eat. A few staff members at the Country Inn and Suites recommended this restaurant and we decided to try it. All I can say is it was absolutely amazing. The portions were quite large and the food is reasonably priced. They have a wide selection of items ranging from sandwiches/subs, italian food, steaks, and pizza. I would definitely return to this place when I come to visit again! Great experience and friendly staff.
We were driving home from galena, and we found this wonderful restaurant on our way. This is some of the most delicious and reasonably priced food I've had. We plan to make them a stop any time we come up here.
Stayed the night at Country Inn and Suites with girlfriend and the hotel was wonderfull. Did a little searching on the net and thought we would give Checo's a try. Very dissappointed. ordered an appetizer and it came out frozen the service was very poor, with 3 waitresses and not that many people in there it should have been a lot better. Instead of asking if we wanted the appetizer she just took and back, did take it off the bill which is a good thing. Steak was done how I asked but nothing to brag about. Just was expecting better after reading the other review and the staff at the hotel saying it was good.
