My wife and I were camping in Southern Illinois when I noticed a noise that sounded like we had a mud tire on the rear of our Honda Odyssey Minivan. After driving around Carbondale on Saturday and finding no repair shops open, we kind of gave up. On Sunday I jacked the van and found that the right rear wheel bearing was grinding. After several calls to auto parts stores, we found a replacement hub/bearing. I asked the man at the parts store if he knew of anyone that was open on Sunday and he referred me to Shawn at Preventative Maintenance Repair. I called him and he said no problem, bring it over and he would take care of it. He had a nicely equipped garage and knew exactly what to do and had me out of there in no time. His demeanor was kind and price was more than fair. I wish there were more people like him around!!!
Low cost, but still great service. He knows what he's doing. I could take it somewhere else and have the guy change my oil, and if he inspects, tell me some outrageous stuff that needs fixed when it doesn't, but not him. Shawn changed oil AND rotated tires CHEAP, and he was very honest about everything when he did the visual inspection. I recommend him to everyone!
