wow after reading the reviews i'm thinking that it's not worth the gas or the cover charge to even go and check this place out, bad management, terrible security, rude , disrespectful and bad attitudes, this is a receipe for disaster.
I've been there 3 or 4 times and always enjoyed myself. The staff has been very friendly and attentive, the food and drinks reasonably priced and good. The crowd a little older, friendly and easy going. i will be going back and would recommend it to a friend.
It's an older..decent club that's not bad; my guy and i had a nice time if you like dusties music...I don't recommend ordering fancy mix drinks..keep it simple and basic...they make their drinks very strong...the place is small so i also suggest getting there around 9...dance floor is small but ok to work with...it's a great place to go to kick back, and listen to good music, and talk; like a lounge..it's decent if you tired of the club scene and young folks.
I luv Sgb's . The food is awesome. Some of the best soulfood outside yo mama's kitchen. I love to go on Monday's when they have live bands. The whole set is a nice environment, and guess what I don't have to worry about getting shot or stabbed. 25yrs and older, drinks lovely.
Rude Manager/Sorry DJ/Food was just Aight /Decent Drinks and Waitresses. Don't waste your money! Horrible manager called me a LIAR when I came to complain about the evening! He was determined to force my party of 4 to give up the single chair we were holding for our friend who was on the way! He practically stalked the chair until they force us to give it up in spite of the fact that we all were drinking top shelf liquor, ordering food and tipping generously! There were numerous other single chairs available. He even refused to allow us to add a fifth chair to a highboy table! Later we looked over and saw another group with six around the table, but the manager never even blinked an eye at them! I have never been so humiliated and ill treated! Never again!!!!
