The best place to get some yummy coffee and fresh, delicious pastries! I'll have a skinny raspberry mocha please! :) If you have been here in the past, but haven't revisited since it came under new ownership...give it a second try. You won't be disappointed. The food and drinks are fantastic, and the atmosphere is great! They also have live music on most weekends. So fun!!!

New owners and currently only a cash place. Pastries are good. Haven't really had anything else.

I know I was the same place as Scott, Jane and Paul! I love the place. Well, actually I am a regular and have become friends with the owner (I bet all of their customers feel special that way). Huge fan of their Mayan Mocha - skim milk please. Such an overall warm and cozy feel in that place. Can't beat the smell of coffee, home recipe gooey butter cake and luxury quiche. I would highly recommend everyone try Mokka and form their own opinions. I believe you won't be disappointed.

Mokka is a little gem in Columbia, IL. I've traveled far and wide and Mokka really brings that that familiar vibey, local coffehouse/cafe feel. I've frequented Mokka for drinks, food and they even have live acoustic music quite often. The owner, Shannon, is usually around to tell you all about her different coffees and teas and make nuanced recommendations. The staff is friendly and informative. In fact, from what I understand, several of her employees are culinary school students so you know that the staff really has a passion for food and drink. The menu is classic cafe fare, and is homemade and very tasty. I highly recommend the roasted red pepper with smoked gouda cheese soup. Dip some crusty bread in that stuff - perfect! They also offer a clever selection of local and craft beers along with some classic domestics. Now, I'm not a dessert person, however, I understand that the gooey butter cake here is the best in the midwest, so I guess you'll just have to sample that one yourself. Mokka has several different pastries each day and ice cream as well.
