Fantastic food, especially the fried ice cream! I woke up the next morning still thinking about our wonderful meal. While we were waiting for our meal we were served freshly fried tortilla chips which you put your own salt on them with a nice medium salsa which didn't have a lot in it, would recommend some freshly chopped onion, cilantro, and tomatoes, but it was still good as is. We ordered steak fajitas, our favorite, and they were pretty good, the only bad thing was I found at least three pieces of gristle, so did my mother and the meat was a bit tougher than what we are used to (possibly didn't marinade it long enough) but it was still wonderful. It was served with a side of what looked like shredded romaine lettuce (my favorite), tomatoes, and fresh chopped cilantro, as well as refried beans and wonderful rice which was possibly cooked in chicken stock with possibly curry powder and one other spice I am not familiar with. I had a reeses milkshake which I think was icecream and peanut butter blended together. We also got a lovely free sample of tamales which were also wonderful. I've had tamales before which were gritty or had a piece of corn husk left behind but these were perfect, wonderful texture and flavor. The real show stopper though was the fried ice cream. I have had fried ice cream at many different restaurants but have never seen it prepared or made like it was at Rosa's. I've had fried ice cream which was rather plain with crushed graham crackers, honey, and cinnamon, and one with crushed corn flakes, honey, and cinnamon (with chocolate syrup and ice cream), but at Rosa's it is vanilla ice cream topped with rice crispie cereal which was either fried or soaked in something sweet, sugar or some kind of syrup, nestled in a tortilla chip bowl which is coated with cinnamon and sugar, then all of it is drizzled with what looks like strawberry sauce but tastes like a mixture of strawberry and cherry and is presented beautifully. As for the restaurant itself it is a mixture of fast food and restaurant, they have a board you can look at but also menu's and a drive through. Not a lot of decor though it also depends on where you sit, I was looking at the back wall and would have liked some pictures to look at. The bathroom is kind of tucked away in back with no sign on it and smelled of mildew which is concerning, I would recommend having a plumber come look at the water hookups and/or sticking an air freshener in there. They have a pool table as well. The service was great, the waitress seemed to know when we would be done, when we would need more tortillas, when we would be ready for our dessert, etc. She was also friendly and sweet. The cost per person is approximate, it was about $30 for two people (28 something). I will definitely be going here again. :)
I love their fries and chili dogs but the timing is a little long. Long but worth it!!:)
