Fine dining at it's best!!! The atmosphere was so nice. The food was fantastic. I had the shrimp and they were so big, it was like eating small lobsters. The service was great and we are so happy that Vinton has a wonderful fine dining restaurant.
I have been to Cafe de Klos twice now. Very pretty, intimate restaurant but there are a few improvements that could be made to make the dining experience more pleasurable. When you enter there is no apparent hostess stand. You are in the entry and then immediately in the bar area. Makes for kind of an awkward entrance if the hostess is not standing there waiting for you. Secondly, they are very particular when it comes to the bar side versus the fine dining side of the restaurant. You are not allowed to order any food from the bar side menu if you are seated in the fine dining area and vice versa. What if I really want items from both??? Not very accommodating. Who is paying the bill after all? I will say the food is amazing! Very flavorful! The de Klos marinate is fabulous and the meat is amazingly tender. The cheesecake was delicious as well! But I will also say that it is slightly overpriced, especially for small town Vinton. The food is great, don't get me wrong but we won't be eating there very often. Don't think I would call it a family restaurant but a nice treat for a date night.
