We are repeat customers. Last night, after losing a pet,we thought we would have a nice dinner. Got there about 8pm. Service was VERY slow, in fact, a table of 3 came in after us, and were served before us. The server informed us they were out of the 10oz sirloin, (ok fine, I'll take the 8oz) THEN she comes and says the cook will give me a 6 and 4 oz steak. OK fine.She neglected to ask how I wanted my steak cooked. It took over 40min to get our food, and the restaurant was not that busy. When my husband ask what the hold up was, the server blamed the kitchen. No," I'm so sorry,let me comp you coffee and dessert"...nothing. An apology would have been enough. We did not get that. I hate to give a poor review, as we like the owners of the place, but last night left A LOT to be desired. We did NOT tip the server...
+ My girlfriend and I had a WONDERFUL server + Willing to replace poorly made food + Attentive service + Nice large screen flatscreens - French fries were put in the fryer while frozen... - Flavorless food - Flies..... - Dust in the lamps above where you eat - Food may have been stored a bit long... I'd go again and try a couple different foods.... but I hope next time the food experience will be better.
This is the best place to eat in the world. This place is a old fire house. It is ran by the best people in the world. If you pick one place to eat at tonight go to the firehouse its the only option for safe food in red oak iowa
