Okoboji Grill of Pleasant Hill

And goodness; where do I begin? First, the Reuben was still on the menu and my husband ordered it... only to be told they didn't have it anymore. It was then we were told they were changing the menu and distributors. Okay, so my husband decided on another menu choice. My daughter and I both ordered salads. What arrived was the most pathetic excuse for salads I've ever seen. The bowl was less than half full. The lettuce was brown and limp. We sent the salads back and didn't get new salads because we were told that that was all they had and that replacement salads would "look exactly the same." To excuse the measly portion the waitress told us that they "changed portion sizes." (My daughter and I were at the south side location less than two weeks ago and had wonderful salads.) The waitress said that she would take the salads off our bill. When our food arrived - I ordered the Mediterranean Pasta. It arrived without Kalamata olives. And I only got HALF A PIECE of garlic bread. My daughter ordered Boji fries but did not get them. By now we were putting things together. New distributor? They were running out of food and scraping the bottom of the barrel. Which is why the salads were so pathetic. Which is why I was only served half a piece of garlic bread. Which is why my pasta was missing olives - though the waitress tried to say they had never put the olives in their pasta, despite the fact that the menu says it comes with olives. The waitress also blamed the "new kitchen manager who is probably still figuring things out." When our bill was brought they had only taken off $3.49 for the salads, which is the price of one salad, despite the fact that we had ordered and returned two. We've been coming to this location of Okoboji Grill since it opened and have never had such an unpleasant experience. It was in fact, one of my worst restaurant experiences ever.
Have never had a good experience here yet. Food is mediocre at best. I had to wait and remind the waitress for a pitcher of beer, which is truthfully a pretty easy thing to get. Waitresses all had that cold 'don't bother' me attitude. My visit was close to Halloween, they must have had a skanky costume day. While pretty women are nice, I don't need a one looking fresh off 6th street corner serving me food. :D That was the final straw, won't be back. Legends right next door is friendlier with better food!!!
We have always had a good experience when eating at Okoboji, staff has been friendly, .
After waiting 20 minutes, I inquired if our meal was coming, the waitress said, they had more to add to or order...and at that time, the waitress went back and presented us with a rare and medium steak that were cold on the outside, the manager then lied to us and said "they were JUST taken off the grill and 'Rare' is a hard temperature to cook" even though our meal was free, I will not be back, and will show everybody I know the reviews of previous customers, and mine.
Had to ask for silverware and received dirty silverware, had to send meal back to have it cooked as ordered - more than once. Had to request drinks be refilled more than once. Overall - a bad dining experience.
