Several family members were meeting in Hampton for an event so we decided to try Pakodas for dinner. We ordered the appetizer sampler platter which included a wide variety of tasty items( (the fried green beans and zucchini were unique and a big hit). The salads were as expected, the rolls that came out with the salads were very good, but unfortunately the evening deteriorated at the main course. Two people in our party ordered chicken dishes and were happy with them, but the four of us who ordered steaks weren't as fortunate. The fillet received a "not great" comment, the two ribeyes were very thin and both people said they were just "ok", and the sirloin had an odd/off flavor that I took one bite of and wouldn't eat. My husband and brother-in-law each tried a bite and declared "there's something REALLY wrong with that!" (I've seen these two guys eat just about anything.) We were refunded for the price of the sirloin, but we were still charged the "included gratuity" for groups on the full price of the meal. (My sister and I both waited tables for years and were shocked that we were being forced to tip on a meal that wasn't edible.) Wish we had the experience of the positive reviews we found before going, but based on our evening we won't be back and certainly can't recommend.
We were passing through and found Pakodas on Google Maps Mobile. We found a great small town steakhouse, with excellent food and service. Will definitely stop back next time!!
Went here for our anniversary. Our appetizers were good. I had the filet which was delicious. My husband had pork loin and also was happy with his meal.
