McCaffery's Dolce Vita & Twin Springs Bakery
Reviews
we recently stopped here for pizza. it was some of the best pizza I have ever ate. the crust is thin and made from sour dough. our family really enjoyed it. the owner stopped by to ask if eveything was OK, he was very jolly. if we are in Decorah again we will definetly be back!
Ordered a pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza with thick crust and it was. Filling and amazing in taste. We will be returning. While waiting the specials coming out of kitchen looked great as well.
Everything here is delicious. I've always walked away happy and satisfied with the food and drink.
This was my second visit to McCaffrey's, so I liked it enought to come back for a second visit. We ordered the stuffed jalapeno appetizer to start and were disappointed to receive 4 normal size jalapeno halves and two extremely tiny pieces. For 8 dollars, I'd be hoping for 3 decent size jalapenos. We ordered the Thai chicken pizza, and it was delicious. It is definitely European-inspired, with a crisp thin crust. I thought it was a little odd that there were 7 or 8 large slices of chicken on the pizza rather than more smaller pieces, but it was an intentional part of the style, just not what I'm used to. The service was definitely poor, as we went without drinks for most of the meal and then waited quite a while for the server to pick up our credit card to pay. Someone (the owner?) apologized repeatedly. Service the first time was average. It's not a bad spot, however if you're just visiting Decorah for a short time, I'd recommend you try Rubaiyat before this. It has never disappointed me.
