Have been there twice. Food was gross both times. Tasted like reheated leftovers that sat out too long. Servers are nice and it is neat to see but definitely ordered the wrong thing because this place has a faithful following. Not sure what they are ordering..
The wife and I went there on a foggy Saturday evening a week ago. (January 16, 2010) The waitress was really friendly and upbeat, although it didn't seem like she came around as much as others do at other restaurants. Her salad wasn't very good, the chili I was served was so-so to ok. after 20 minutes or so our entrees finally made it out. Her steak had a wire brush bristle on it. Assuming they used a wire brush to clean the grille?? more than half of the steak was raw, she said the flavor was just terrible, worst steak she had ever been served... although the mashed potatoes were good. When the waitress brought my ribs out, they were on a oval-shaped cast iron griddle with the sauce bubbling. Looks impressive.. but of course, looks aren't everything. the first few bones were so-so to ok but as I kept going they seem to get more dry and bland with each bite. First half rack that I actually didn't finish. If I don't eat them all I usually get a to-go box and microwave them later at home, we didn't get any to-go box at this place.. the fries that came with the ribs were really, really bland. We didn't pay for the steak, in fact - we were strongly considering running out of there without paying a cent. surely Atlantic has a good place to eat somewhere, keep moving...
Don't let the last reviews keep you from eating at main st grill. I live in this area and eat there often and have never had a bad meal. In my opinion..its one of the best places to eat in the Atlantic area
