Every time we have gone to J Peter's it's been a wonderful experience. Good food and huge portions. I think a lot of people need to stay at home and eat, or stick to their normal place. I have been here many of times and never have had one complaint. Then again, I hear people complain about Outback as well. I feel this is spoiled people who can't be thankful they're able to go out and eat. For years due to financial strains going out to eat, especially some where like Outback or J Peter's was nearly never. Now that I have a little money I appreciate being able to go out and enjoy a good meal vs. a bologna sandwich any day.

Just returned from my night out at J Peters, my wife and I honestly laughed all the way home about how bad it was. We started with soup, my crab was pretty good and her loaded baked potato was ok but the potatoes were about half cooked. We each had an order of the Hot Lava Shrimp appetizer. Listed as "lightly battered shrimp in a hot lava sauce". It was really a heavy battered shrimp a tasteless paste of who knows what. Absolutely disgusting. NO taste, NO flavor, NO spice, like it was coated with used motor oil. My main course was the Black & Bleu Salad. List as Blackened Ahi Tuna over mixed greens, tomatoes, blue cheese crumples topped with onion rings. Sounds nice huh? My mixed greens were pure, cheap iceberg lettuce, some tomatoes, crumpled blue cheese all over it but NO dressing?! Try and eat that! Best part though somehow the tuna, which I had ordered medium, was well done on one half and raw, and I mean raw on the other half. Totally UNEATABLE! My wife had the Spring Mix Salad with chicken, chicken is what they called it anyhow. The salad was not really that bad but if that was not canned, cubed chicken! The hot bacon dressing she ordered tasted just like honey mustard but after a night like this, who cares! $53 bucks plus $9 tip, I should have ate at Shoneys next door for less then half and I wouldn't have a belly ache.

Excellent steaks and wonderful service! We were searching for a nice juicy steak and someone to cook for us after being at the lake all week. This place has a great atmosphere, superb service ( ask for McKenzie), generous portions for kids and the food was cooked to perfection. We will be back!

Manager Amanda is terrible, our order was messed up (have a food allergy) the waitress said someone else could take the messed up order home cause they were just going to throw the food away then the manager came over and said we would have to pay for the messed up one if we kept it.

If your looking for someplace so loud you can't hear the person next to you, where the waitress ignores you, where the steak is overcooked on one side and rare on the other (not sure how you do that it must be a special talent), and the waitress argues with you when you ask her take off a item you didn't order then this is the place you want to be!
