I think this place (for me) suffered from overblown expectations. When we arrived (5 minutes before they opened) there was already a huge line. Fortunately we got a table with the first seating but service was definitely slow at first. understandable with that kind of line, but we didnt even place our order until the table next to us was almost done eating! We started with the fried lobster tails. Pretty tasty with a batter that wasnt too think. I then had the ribeye and was a little disappointed; the flavor was amazing, but the amount of fat was egregious. This is definitely a country-style place so don't go expecting a fancy surrounding. Very homey and relaxed with lots of boisterous conversations.

PLEASE DON"T EAT HERE. I've been dining with Hunter for many years now, even back when his mom made the strawberry refrigerator pie! Hunters is a place all you should avoid! Maybe then I will have an easier time finding a seat!!!! This is the neatest little hole in the wall place you'll EVER find! ALL the food is wonderful, and I like the "frumpy" décor! I also remember the place when it was a country store!

Aside from the patrons getting loud, everything is great at the pub. Best steaks this side of the Pacific Ocean. Must try the green beans, they are to die for. the daily special is always 5 Star quality. The mashed (Smashed) potatoes are out of this world, CAN NOT go wrong with this side item. The Fried Lobster Tail is the best piece of tail you will ever get, EVER. Looking at the place from the outside you would first think what a dump, but after you have eaten the food inside you no longer notice the exterior of the building.

I'm from Dallas, Texas and we like our steaks. This place was amazing. We arrived at 4:45pm and the parking lot was full. The pick-up next to us had a window open and we asked what to order. The Marine in the truck said no question get a steak. When the door opened at 5pm virtually every table was immediately filled. I rate the decor as poor but actually that was a plus. This was a place that everyone in the area knew about. At the next table was a couple married two days before so they apparently got there as soon as the could. The steak was as good as a steak could be. Ours was a ribeye.

ABSOLUTE BEST!!! My husband and I went for our date night last week and we both ordered the filet, mashed potatoes, salad and peanut butter pie (homemade). I would eat here for dinner every night if I could afford to. YUM!!!
