Restaurant Eugene

This is not a five star restaurant. I came here with a group and we tried almost everything on the separate dish menu. We were very disappointed. Only three of the dishes we tried were even close to exceptional, and one of those was a dessert. I expected much more. Over priced and exaggerated. More show than quality. The highlight of the evening was a COCKROACH on the wall!
I love the ambiance at Restaurant Eugene and the customer service. I feel like its a dining experience when you eat at Restaurant Eugene and that's what makes the restaurant special. However, not a huge fan of the food. Its not seasoned well (or very much at all). I do like the location and the customer service is a huge plus. They go out of the way to make you feel special when you are dining at Restaurant Eugene.
My wife and I love Eugene! We eat here for our anniversary every year, and we love trying new things every time! What a great experience!
Remarkable! This was an evening that I was proposing to my future bride. The quality & presentation of the food was outstanding. Every person who came to our table made us feel like the most important patron in the restaurant. It was a wonderful way to end our evening! We look forward to coming back soon. Thank you!
I was treated to Restaurant Eugene for my most recent birthday. I'm a simple gal. I love to experience new things but I don't necessarily like the idea of spending so much money on one meal. Nevertheless, I appreciated the experience. I wish Restaurant Eugene had better ambiance. With the lighting, it's better at night but at times, I felt like we were having dinner in an office space. It's just a bit cold in that way. You'll meet plenty of people throughout the night from the maitre d to the sommelier and several other servers with different jobs. The service was good. They were knowledgable about the menu and helped us pick the best wine and dishes throughout the night. The food was good. The menu changes regularly and you never really know exactly what's coming next. In fact the gifts from the chef were my favorite part of the night. I loved the little surprises. My favorite was a sous vide egg (in half a shell) with a sorghum syrup and chives. Sound odd? Maybe. But it was a creamy, savory and slightly sweet treat to savor. For my entree, I had a fish dish served on a bed of cabbage. I wouldn't order it again as it was a bit heavy for my taste. Funny enough my favorite bite of the night was the little sticky toffee pudding cake they delivered at the end of the night. I don't remember much more than that. If and when I return, I will probably get the vegetable plate as a my entree. I wanted it that night but opted for fish. It looked very interesting. Many ask how Restaurant Eugene compares to Bacchanalia. I personally liked the service better at Bacchanalia. Both are tops for fine dining in Atlanta.
