Always impressed with JCT! The Pork chop is amazing and my go-to plate, however my last visit I ordered the special: "Duck 3 ways". It was amazing. Service is always phenomenal! I recommend anyone visit JCT!
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of this place is GREAT GRITS O Mighty!! The parking was valet and this place is I'm the back of the shopping center with star provisions and Jenis Ice cream (I think that's what they're called) I came here for my best friends birthday dinner. Once we were seated we were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable server. They brought out water and offered to take drink orders. They also brought out some delicious bread and butter that I had trouble parting ways with. I ordered the shrimp and grits. I'm so glad I did because I almost bought the burger. The shrimp and grits were really Good. Everyone at the table tasted them and enjoyed them. I was very pleased by the flavor and the portions. I tasted my friends Mac and cheese and it was good. Not mind blowing but tasty. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I tasted my friends burger and it could use more flavor. Overall it was a great time and I would come back again. I love the lemon heads instead of mints as well.
Shrimp and grits from here are outstanding! Go here for Southern comfort food that has been redefined so that each bite is packed with flavor. I also enjoyed the Angry Mussels as an appetizer, shared with my date. We both thought the broth was delicious to soak up with the bread. The evening was windy and cold, but I left warmed up by the JCTea drink. Thanks to my server for recommending it! Decor is nice and comfortable; it makes you feel like you're in someone's home for a Sunday meal. I recommend this place for a family meal or first date.
The ambience of the restaurant is very good.. My wife had shrimp and grits which she likes a lot , I had chicken dumpling which was just ok. We also had t mussels which was really good and I would love to have it again.
If you're asking around for good places to eat in ATL, JCT is most likely going to be thrown in the Top 5. That's because anything Ford Fry touches, turns to gold...and JCT is his model restaurant. Located in West Midtown by the tracks, JCT is a must for lunch, dinner or drinks. Grab a drink at the rooftop bar and enjoy the view, specialty cocktails and small bites. For dinner, start with the deviled eggs and truffle fries. For your main course, it's hard to go wrong with Chicken & Dumplings. Devine. JCT is setup with amazing decor and great for small or large parties. Check it out, it will be one of the better places you eat in ATL.
