The Hookah Palace provides a wonderful and authentic atmosphere. If you want to be transported to another country this is the place for you!! Great hookah, good prices, and a fantastic staff. Hookah Palace is THE place to go for a good time in Lakeland. :)

This place is amazing. I remember the first time I went, me and a buddy had just come from a show (concert) across the steet at Evolution Records. Upon walking in, what first got my attention were the low slung semi private booths that lined the walls, very cool. Me and my buddy went to the bar in back instead and got some drinks. They were great and while we drank the owner Soloman (awesome guy) explained the Hookah process to us. Process is probably the wrong word because it's very simple. From a menu you order what kind of Shisha (flavored tobacoo) you want then decide whether you want it prepared with red wine and chilled or not. Next they bring out the Hookah and give you your own disposable plastic tip that fits onto the end of the hose. Then they place the shisha in the bowl at the top of the Hookah and fire it up. The bowl lasted about 20 minutes and was very enjoyable. After that first time I been back on two seperate dates and enjoyed "sitting" in the booths. Both dates occured on a Friday or Saturday night when they also have belly dancing taking place down the center stretch, along side the booths. The dancing was amazing and provided that extra something that makes a night special. If you want to have a dull, uneventfull evening or you want to take someone someplace to break some bad news then don't go here. The Hookah palace is nothing but fun and enjoyment. Oh, did I mention the very reasonable prices.

Happy Birthday to Me Thanks for making it disappointing Hookah Palace!! Number one: The bouncer/security guard was racist. He said to my friend " Where you been at" She said " I'm sorry, what?" He said " Oh I thought you were someone else, all white people look alike" To which I responded "Ok Bye" Number Two: It was my birthday. We were told by a "waiter" with dreadlocks that I'm sure do not meet health code standards, that our hookah would be free because it was my birthday. We could upgrade to the top shelf for only $7. We figured it sounded like a good idea to try it. We were at the bar for about 4 hours, at which any point the waiter could have realized his mistake and made us aware. When we went to pay the waiter asked for my ID, twice, came back with a bill and told us the "free birthday hookah" isn't free on Thursday nights, and we were charged full price for the top shelf hookah.FYI it was thursday ALL day, they waiter should have been aware of the date and told us the correct information. I understand the waiter made a mistake, but as his mistake I feel he should have offered a discounted price or given us what we got at the regular price not the top shelf price. We would not have bought the Top Shelf if we knew we were going to pay full price. This is just an example of extremely poor customer service. I should not have to pay for your employees mistakes, they or the owner should. It is a bummer because this is one of the few cool places to hang out in Lakeland but right now I'm made enough that I will not be returning for a while. The end. Goodbye Hookah Palace!

The place can make a good hookah and they always keep a fresh coal on top. It can get slammed on Thursdays on Latino night so don't expect a low key experience that day. It's the only hookah in Polk County that serves Liquor. The owner is usually working and he is very friendly. Their specials can be very inexpensive.
