While the food & wine were excellent & the décor delightful, the NOISE level was overwhelming. We were 3 women & could barely hear each other. Our waitress, who apparently is married to a chef, spoke so loudly to a couple in the front corner, that we could hear virtually everything she said to them. And, it was not all about taking their order. There was a rather lengthy conversation each time she checked on them. Please! As a result of her loudness & the dreadful acoustics in general, the background noise was more like a rock concert than a decent French restaurant. We also heard 2 other tables comment on the din (at the top of their lungs, of course). Hopefully the owner will install some cork on the ceiling or some other noise-deadening device to make for a better dining experience. And perhaps train the waitress!
Had an extremely pleasant experience, nice small place i highly recommend good food, great atmosphere. A must for any Stay at Amelia Island or Fernandina Beach. Tip: make a reservation, they fill up quick!
Best food on Amelia island second to Salt at the Ritz Carlton.
