Reviews
I thought long and hard about writing this review but after what happened to me today. I just had to. I would advise any African American to never ever patronize a business like this that feels that they can take your money, but not have you in their place of business. I was waiting on my husband to finish a meeting and wanted a bite to eat. This was the closest place for me to go to as I'm pregnant and can't walk very far. Ideally, I wanted to sit down and eat. First the cashier acted as if she didn't even see me and she was right in front of me. I finally just said I want the Italian wrap. She asked me "for here or to go" and then looked around at the other patrons there who were all Caucasian and said " well you know what, can I just make this to go we are about to close" I said fine. Honestly, I wouldn't have thought anything of it had I not sat down and waited for what seemed like forever for her to make my wrap which does not require 15 minutes to be made and mind you I was the only one ordering anything at the time. I looked at the sign and it says plain as day that they close at 5pm. It was 3:30 when I entered this place. Had I not already paid I would have went somewhere else, money is green no matter how you look at it and even if you don't like a certain ethnicity, making money is making money. I never will understand people who make a point to make patrons feel unwelcome in their place of business when they know they want the money you have to spend. Very ignorant and sad on your part. Your bottom line should be to make money and have repeat customers not to worry about whether or not they fit in with the crowd you deem fit to be in your establishment. Oh and by the way, that look on your face was classic when I walked past you around 4:45 and your place was still open. It was nice to know that you knew that I knew you lied.
I've been coming here for a number of years for good reason. Good variety of foods & drinks for breakfast & lunch and a friendly staff to go along with it. Excellent local eatery.
Friendly staff, great coffee, good prices, and fast service.
And by gross.. I mean the service as well as the food...and this is coming from a college student.. I've seen run down and dirty, but I think I have had better service and meals from the rundown frat house on my college campus. The server was some nasty, rude, redhead girl...if her nasty tone wasn't enough to cancel my order- I wasn't sure if she wanted to take my order, or punch me in the face, but her finger nails were so dirty that I wanted to vomit...I mean really! when you're making other people's sandWEDGES can it kill you to wash your hands??? You're handing meat and cheese! Ew, even writing about it now makes me cringe. I NEVER ever write reviews, but I felt so strongly about my dissatisfaction with The Coffee Bistro 101 on 101 N. Woodland Blvd, that I feel as though it is my moral imperative to tell any and all potential customers to stay clear or make an appointment at the Florida Hospital after your lunch! WASH YOUR HANDS REDHEADED GIRL
The Coffee Bistro is located on Woodland Blvd. right by New York Ave. It is a wonderful place, great food and drinks! Alot like Bostons Gourmet Coffeehouse.
