Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Club
Reviews
Ate here this past Sunday (1/18/15). Last night at the beach. Karaoke was fun, but I thought the bill was a little much for two people just having a sandwich and wings and 4 beers ($48-with 20% tip). I would probably visit again, just for the karaoke...it was fun to watch and listen to. The place was pretty crowded and we decided to sit outside...so we had the ocean right there to look at. That was nice, but it was pretty noisy inside with the music going. I won't give the place a bad review...lots of eye candy for me to look at, too!
Mediocre food and alright service. Nothing to write home about in comparison to the little hole in the wall joints we've been to. My Tuaca créme soda was good and the gator bites were a small portion for $11. Upstairs was clean and a neat set-up, but way overpriced for what it is. I'm sitting here now and haven't seen our server in 15 minutes (and they aren't busy or understaffed). I got the blackened swordfish and my husband got the fish and chips - both were alright. I'd definitely check out more places on the strip before I came here again due to the pricing for quality.
Save your money went. It looked like a great place to eat but the service was the worst. There wasn't many people their but we still waited over 45 minutes for our food and still nothing. This was the first time I've ever got up and left a restuarant
I went to the Ocean Deck with my father and sister during bike week. Everyone had said it was a good restaurant and we were in the mood for some seafood. We got there. They seated us and took our orders. The waitress seemed a bit... snappy-- to say the least. Perhaps, they were busy. We waited. We drank. We waited some more. The forty-five minute mark rolls around and there is no sign of our food or appetizers. My sister and I are like, "Hey Dad, tell the lady what's up." He sighs and asks our waitress (when he can actually get her attention) how much longer she thinks it'll take. She says that they're busy back there and it should be out soon. We waited about an hour and a half for our food and it was cold. It. Was. Cold. I ordered the seafood platter for myself because I like to eat and I asked her to add extra lemons because I love my lemons. Well, there weren't many lemons and when I tried to ask for more, our waitress was no where to be found. Of course, I asked my Dad to ask another waiter if they could provide me with more lemons-- ever so kindly. They gave me lemons alright. Slices. The kind of lemons that they serve with drinks from the bar. Then our waitress kindly shows up and asks, "How are your lemons?" I say, "I would like wedges, please." My father spent over $150 at that place, they treated him like dirt, and he still tipped her. This seaside-ocean cuisine gimmick of a restaurant robs tourists of their hard earned money while simultaneously making sure they have such a bad experience that they will remember it forever. If this is what Dayton is, then it's a disgrace.
Food and service was good. Had the catch of the day - grilled (grouper) and shrimpers net both were great
