Best food ever! Very supportive of local 4-H groups and food and waiting staff is the best around! Great little cafe with the best of everything! If u disliked it you didn't eat there. U ate at an old rundown joint that is now shut down
This was a bad experience and bad food all around. Burger's were overdone and tough. Bun was cheap, onion rings burned to a chocolate brown color. Omelette was thin, tough and greasy and supposedly filled with vegetables but they were unrecognized at that. The four of us considered sending our food back but our food matched what was all round us so we could tell we would get the same in return. Home-style cooking? Cook should have some training! The waitress was not pleased to be waiting on us as we were not locals. The place was disgustingly dirty. I thought the ceiling was going to come down on me panel by filthy panel. I had a view of the kitchen and the wait staff. The countertops were messy and the floor was beyond being cleanable. I'm all for keeping the old but not if it can not be cleaned effectively. It is only a matter of time before the locals get acutely sick on this food. Chronically sick - well I hope they have a good nursing home with plenty of space as the locals will need it before their time from eating this food. Funny how the lady at the I-76 tourist information counter said this was the best in town without mentioning others. Wonder if she gets a cut?
Local person "LOVES" this old establishment. DON'T understand "HATES" resonse! The owner is really quite friendly and always concerned for the people J&L SERVES! HAS A GREAT COFFEE HAPPY HOUR from 2-4 I believe. Also has SPECIALS most days weekly; like 2for1, buy one get one half price; all you can eat specials etc. I think they're closed SUDAYS after noon meal. Service is usually very good! ECL.
Best Burger I've had in a long, long time. Friendly clientele and good service.
Great service and food. It's nice to find good places to eat when traveling.
