Couldn't believe how good their "Fish and Chips" were so I had to stop by again several times to do a reality check. Results were that the Fish was excellent and the Chips were hot, soft and very satisfying -- EVERY TIME!! Being small side, I could see how Ed's Cafe could be overwhelmed by customers, but every time I dropped by the service was friendly & prompt. The prices were very reasonable and good luck matching the view from their outside dining area. Seriously, this small Cafe in Georgetown is a HIDDEN JEWEL!
We were in town during the Christmas Market and they were very busy. We were seated quicker than expected. The food was fast enough considering the crowds, and it was good. Staff was friendly, too.
This place is one of our favorite little cafes to visit. We never miss a chance to eat at Ed's. The burgers are excellent (great shoestring fries!) and the service extremely friendly. The burritos are awesome too! The owners now recognize us by name and we are fully satisfied when we leave. Friendly people, great food, great town.

Ed's does not charge credit cards for more than what was authorized. That would be a crime. Some debit cards autotip a credit card transaction for restaurant purchases. We can not help that. If 442 had called, we would have verified this for them. Accusing a proprietor of stealing when it didn't occur is a crime in and of itself.
