Antlers Riverside Restaurant
Reviews

I have been going to Antlers since I was a kid and I have traveled extensively around Colorado. The Antlers is definitely my favorite spot. There are places that charge much more that do not have the Antlers charm and riverfront location! The Antlers offers cabins and a lodge. It is not far off 149, but it is set back from the road in a way that keeps the location quiet from any road noise. Most of the lodging options are riverfront on the Rio Grande. The cabins and lodge have a lot of charm, are nicely updated, and always very clean. Only the lodge rooms have TVs but you don't need that when you have river and national forest access! The restaurant is great, also riverside, and is definitely worth visiting. Easily the best food around Creede. Some of my favorite offerings are the filet, elk, and trout. Another reviewer commented on the deposit requirements. It is a small business, and any similar place also charges a deposit / cancellation fee. Ask what the policy is!

The Antlers has cabins, camping, and a motel. The motel is small, with all rooms overlooking and only a few feet from the Rio Grande, essentially a bucolic mountain brook in August. The rooms were very comfortable, the ambience incredible, and the food, with riverside dining, was very good. We recommend it highly.
