I cannot recal the name of this restaurant, t's changed it's name, no longer La Chalupa, but in the same location.
Typical burrito cafe except the food and drinks!
Nice, honest waitress.
The service was fine and her concern emense, but little control of what comes forth from the kitchen.
The ice tea had a mildew odor and taste, the replacement pepesi was fine, if not a little on the strong side, the chips were not fresh, somewhat stale and greasy not a good treat. THe beautifully decorated carnitas chimichanga emerged on a platter and contrary to my expectations was absolutely horrible. The very greasy beans were accompanied with pretty good rice and dry hard (overcooked) carnitas with huge chunks of solid fat. I now believe it was rancid as I sit here this morning (sunday) with a stomach in distress. The food was inedible. I paid over $10 FOR A CHIMI AND ICE TEA/PEPSI. The worse saturday evening meal I have had yet.
The the waitress, run away from the place and get a job elsewhere.You can do much better. I'm glad I did not risk the camarones.
