Very poor...dim lighting, bad music...but the worst was the waitress, who seemed to be any place but HERE. She was not someone I would hire to represent my business. A friend and I stopped in for lunch. We ordered soup...it took forever, and was not very good. I was born in Portola...I know the area well. I can only wonder how much longer this restaurant can exist. We really expected better.
Best food in portola. Shrimp tacos are good! Staff rocks here.
Food was good. Met my prerequisite of having fresh jalapenos to go with my food. A little pricy, but hey, we are on vacation. Bagged chips, salsa tastes like enchiladas sauce with a little salsa blended in.
During our hunting trips near Portola we always have to stop and visit Lenas.The food is very good and the owner Lena is very pleasant.We had stopped by one day before her freshly made rice was completed so she offered us anything else we might want as a replacement.What was even more impressive was the fact the next day she brought a side of rice to our table and some fresh hot flour totillas to go.I thought she was very caring and out to please and to take care of her patrons.We will be looking foward to our next hunting trip.THANK YOU LENA !!!
