Very good breakfast, scrambled eggs bacon, toast, hash browns, coffee. Service was great, and friendly. Food arrived reasonably fast, and good price too. LIKED
We are locals here in Lodi and visited the Hollywood Cafe thinking it was a local treat. Upon entering, I was not convinced the place was very sanitary so we played it safe and ordered a chicken salad. They mostly have sandwiches anyway. 40 minutes later we got a nice salad covered with some chicken that smelled like Mop Water. I have some janitors that I supervise and I know the smell well. We walked out. They were very nice when I complained. The waitress told me it was their Monterrey Sauce. Good luck selling that one.
Food was DELICIOUS!!!! a lot of food for a great price. The staff was super friendly. The old man that cooks and busses the tables is the sweetest guy! I wish I lived around here so I could come back!!!
We went there this last Saturday and ordered the huevos Rancharos and a veggie omelett. My husband asked that the eggs be sunnyside up. Well when the meal came, which was longer then expected the eggs where hard and over cooked. My Veggie omelett was was dry and I did not get my avocado and the toast was not toasted enough. I had a veggie omelett at Denny's the weekend before and it was very good. I'm not one to dine at Denny's. They were very friendly and gave us a discount of 10% because we were on our Harley. The Cooks looked to be very young and may need to take some cooking classes.
This place has obviously changed hands and it's so much fun now. We come here for breakfast, and the morning staff are so sweet and cheerful and they make my poached eggs perfectly. I would like the coffee to be stronger but that's just me. Some days it's slower than others, but c'mon, it's a family run restaurant and some days are just like that.
