Downieville Outfitters
Reviews

Downieville Outfitters are the best! The owner Greg Long is a local invested in making every trip the best ever. Every trip he takes the time tell me about any trail and his advice is spot-on. Shuttle service is easy and well worth it. I've rented several bikes. They were all well maintained and the current year. I really appreciate how this bike shop maintains the local trails...and doesn't try to rake in money for personal benefit like some "non-profit."

Fantastic equipment and service at a reasonable price. The trails were spectacular - long, varied, well maintained (in part by Downieville Outfitters, from what I understand). I had two very solid outings in two days. The owner and staff are invested in their customers having an awesome time, and I could not have been happier.

A group of 9 of us had the pleasure of being shuttled by these folks last week. They were fast and flexible in meeting our every need. And how many outfitters crank up the live version of Sympathy for the Devil for you, letting Mick Taylor's screaming guitar solo ring in your head the whole way down the mountain?! Thanks guys. PC

We emailed in for a reservation. We showed up for our shuttle, and was told we would be leaving in ten minutes. We came back ten minutes later and the shuttle left without us. I guess this company cares more about making money than they do the riders. Maybe they cater to the bay area weekend warriors and can get away with treating riders like crap. Yuba Expeditions participates with the stewardship, has a world class bike shop, and cares about the riders. They even offered to buy us our beers after our ride. NEVER going back to Downieville Outfitters.

We've been using Downieville Outfitters for years now and have always had a good experience. They're shuttle service is great for getting multiple rides in one day and it's always been easy to coordinate with large groups. The owner, Greg, is a nice guy and everyone there is always willing to give you instruction or answer your questions. Thanks guys, & see you on our next D-ville visit!
