Pros: good food, clean restaurant Cons: awful service I've never been helped less at a restaurant. Went for Sunday breakfast before the church let out, thinking it would be a good time. I sat outside because I had my dog with me. After waiting 15 minutes for my drink order, I walked inside to order. I should have just walked away. I was only checked on once after my food was delivered (about 2 min after they brought it.) I was forgotten through out the whole experience. Waited over a half hour after I was finished eating for a coffee refill and bill but never got it. Finally, I left cash on the table and walked away. As a recent transplant to Dixon, I was discouraged that the closest restaurant to me wouldn't serve a non-local as they would a regular patron. Many tables of people (obviously local) came and left while I waited for my bill. If you want to be ignored at a restaurant, this is the one to choose.
We met with family friends for the first time in years and had dinner and converation that was excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend Brandy (one of the owners I think) and the Tri-tip with gorgonzola sauce. It was yummmay!
Bud's catered an occasion for us at their new meeting hall. The room is very nice. They set it up just as we had asked. The food was very good and also just as we had requested. The service staff was helpful and they had the right number of staff for the event. We would recommend them for both the food and the location.
Have lived in Dixon for 14 years and have eaten at Bud's numerous times. Latest experience was a surprise B-day party in Bud's banquet room. 70 guests some from Pa. So Carolina all over Ca, Oregon, everyone had a great time. The food is still being raved about when I speak to any one who attended that day,the service was superb they were very attentive to everyone's needs and requests. If you are thinking of having them hosting a party they come highly recommended.
