Found this place while driving from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. lovely true artisan breads. similar experience when I sought it out again a year later.
Donnie bakes great bread. Great Bread. The sandwiches and salads are top notch, my wife and I love this place. Just finished lunch there today, and the sandwich was a piece of art with so many flavors. Incredible! These people take the art of sandwich making to a whole new level. (and did I say the salads are top shelf) Oh Yes they are! Hands down the best lunch stop in town!
Best bread within a 200 mile radius. We have eaten there for Saturday breakfast many times and often schedule our trips to the area so that we can eat breakfast as the bread is that good. There french toast made with their olive bread is tasty and unusual. We always grab a baguette to take with us while hitting the wineries in Paso Robles. On our last trip, we stopped by for a late lunch after visiting some wineries. The sandwiches are just as good as the Saturday breakfast. I had a tuna with pesto on sourdough and boy that was tasty. Do yourself a favor and visit.

Wish Atascadero had more places like this. Great place to grab lunch or a loaf of bread.
