Mary's Pizza Shack

5/28/13 I EAT HERE FOR MY HUSBAND I don't know that I'd actually eat at Mary's all that often if it weren't for my husband. He loves paying for overpriced breadsticks with ranch. While I enjoy these, I don't think they're a very good value. I'll admit, the breadsticks are very good. I usually add a little dill and garlic to the ranch. But its $4.55 for one order and he normally eats almost two orders. We usually get this food to go when eating at the Mary's in Walnut Creek. It's been a long time since I sat down inside one. He told me they have free breadsticks for the taking when you dine in, but you get no dipping sauce (ranch, butter, etc.) What?! And he pays for something he could get for free? I just don't understand... I guess fresh is best. Our server Shelby was really great. She was friendly and fast and brought me lids for the butter I didn't finish without me having to ask. I had a small Mary's salad $5.65 with my Coors Light $3.85. The salad was very good and fresh and had lots of toppings, but it was really small. Guess it's better to have a small plate and finish it than eat 'till I'm stuffed. Overall, this location seemed as clean and nice as the one we have at home. I was suprised there weren't more people in it, but perhaps there are others like me who just don't see much value here.
Ordered the new Mac and cheese and literally tipped bowl over and there was tons of oil. ended up feeling sick later on that night. way too expensive food
Great local place to dine... little of something for all. The garlic fries are my weakness but I am also addicted to the cobb or wedge salad. Service is always good and just love the atmosphere, family oriented but yet intimate enough for a casual date night. Recommended for lunch and dinner but they make a mean breakfast pizza too!!
Real food. Hand tossed crust. Lots of people but not too noisy. Service was wonderful.
Food and service was great and our waitress Nanette was very accommodating to our family of little ones. Would definitely go back. The 2 for 20 special was more than enough food for us.
