We have now been to this restaurant twice. The first time was a year ago and it wasn't very busy and the food was excellent and the service was great. We returned last night (Friday) and the place was packed. There was a twenty minute wait to get in. Big regional arts and crafts fair in town. After we were seated, I must report that the service was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and the food was even better than I remember. I am kind of an afficianado of authentic Mexican food and, while they don't serve goat here, they have a surprising number of dishes that are very close to authentic and traditional. My recommendation? Try the Shrimp Diablo Fajitas. Plus, ask for their spicy salsa to mix into the "tourist" salsa that they serve. BTW, they make their own chips fresh throughout the evening.
I'm a regular. It's my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is not the all-to-common greasy Tex-Mex variety. It is a cross between Sonoran and Baja California fare. The food is the best in two counties. The salsa and tortilla chip appetizers are fresh and delicious, so much so that one has to ask for more! Decor is wonderful, varied and is helped by the Mexican musical background. Service is surprisingly rapid and the waitstaff are caring, efficient and personable. Portions are filling and take-home boxes are common. Las Fajitas has added an extra suite to handle all of its customers and also offers a full bar.
After a customer complained about a Mexican flag covering up an American flag, the manager walked over to the flags, removed the US flag, balled it up and threw it in the trash. NEVER GO HERE! We can not stand for this disrespect for the Country they live in! These people are Mexican Nationalist Pigs and anti-American and should not be patronized!
Yummy and good service
Not clean, unfriendly staff. Food was so-so
