Bandito Southside
Reviews

Pretty much a weekly staple to our dining out: fish tacos, grande burritos, awesome refried beans, and excellent tamales. Great beer selection with many local beers, live music, cheap food, what more could you ask?

Worst Mexican food I have ever tasted. The people who eat at and review this place clearly do not know what flavor is. What I was most surprised by is the lack of authenticity in the kitchen...I mean can I get a Latino cook please...or at least a server. Whoever calls this Mexican food is living a sad sad life...on that note I would like to say Huntsville in general seems terrible when it comes to Mexican food so don't feel so bad Bandito it runs in your blood.

I always get the green bean burritos. No, it isn't green beans, it's regular bean burritos with green sauce. They are amazing. The tortillas are warm and soft, the green sauce tops off the burritos just right. Prices are generally low, especially if you just get burritos. The environment is fun, there is music there a lot and neat decorations everywhere. It isn't scary or hole-in-the-wall like the one on Governors (not that I'm complaining about the "dive" on Governors, but for those of you with kids...) The only reason I gave only 4 stars- occasionally the food is cold, and the tortillas stale. Only occasionally though, so it may just be one poor manager.

Great food, good music!
