Ruby Tuesday

The salad bar was wonderful but the lack of service was appalling. After an hour and 10 minuets our food arrived and we asked for a to-go box and then we had to wait until the manager came out to ask us about our food. We had to ask for the bill and then we had to wait for the lady to come back with the change. Don't go if your trying to catch a movie. To eat a salad and leave took 1 hour and 27 minuets. There was no service or tea refills.

Love it. Nice salad bar, steaks. Friendly staff.

Having never eaten at a Ruby Tuesdays before this visit was an experiment. I was impressed from the beginning when a friendly girl was waiting to hold the door for us as we entered and a man whom I would presume to be a manager thanked us for visiting us this evening. We came after the dinner rush so we were immediately seated and our waitress quickly got us situated. I am a fan of salad bars and the one here wasn't half bad. My only true disappointment of the evening came when our main course was brought out. I am frugal - all right, I admit, I am cheap - so I was quite disappointed in the size of the portions for the cost. I ordered salmon and my wife a steak, both $15 meals. For that price at a Mom and Pop or a Truckstop I would expect a full platter between the entree and the side. Instead we each got a small, maybe 6-8 oz piece of meat and what I would guess to be less than half a cup of vegetables. If it hadn't been for the salad bar I would have left hungry. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about either. Portion size aside; the atmosphere, the speed of service, the politeness and attentiveness of our waitress and the people wishing us a good evening as we left all gave a generally positive impression. Unfortunately, I can find more and better food for a better price elsewhere.

My husband and I were moving in to our house when my mom and I decided to go pick up some burgers from Ruby Tuesday's for everyone. My husband and I got burgers, and my parents got chicken burgers. When I got there, I waited for several minutes to be acknowledged. The bartender was apparently having a horrible day she was acting flustered, even though she was just on the phone. I could hear her attitude toward whoever she was talking to - there were about three tables sat (it was lunch), servers were standing around not doing anything, etc. that could have attended to people standing around waiting to be served. The inside of the restaurant looked kind of...grungy. It looked like it hadn't gotten a good cleaning since it was built. Once I eventually got the food (after getting some attitude) and getting it home, we were pretty disappointed. The fries were cold and limp, and my burger was cold. I'm pretty sure that I got a stomach virus or something from that burger. I could have gotten better quality food and service at a Burger King or something. We definitely won't be going back.

Well, today we were treated to a 92nd Birthday Luncheon for Mrs. PACE at R.T./Enterprise, AL. All four of us were excited about the trip till we met our waiter "RichA." He took an ordinate amount of time to return with our drinks; I asked him if he was ALSO the bartender. TEN minutes is NOT correct table service!! Three of us have restaurant experience District Manager to former R.T.waiter/Troy, AL. THEN we ordered dessert; Everyone came out with the desserts from the kitchen. NO WHERE to place them because RichA had not PULLED the plates. Waiters where I come from PULL plates BEfore delivering fresh foods to table. IS THIS A SOUTHERN THING IN ENTERPRISE??
