Atmosphere is cool but the waitress and bartender I encountered were terrible. Waitress couldn't add up our bill and I had to follow her up to the cashier to pay my bill. Ended up buying dinner for the table because it was just less painful than watching her stumble with the numbers. Bartender handed me a foaming beer bottle with about 1/3 of it foamed out. When I politely questioned her she told me I should just take it because they were all going to do that. I told her that was crap and walked away with her yelling about my .50 change I left because I sure wasn't going to leave a real tip with that attitude. Talked to many of my friends and they all shared the same experience. What a shame because the concept of dinner and a movie with a beer is unique enough that I would drive the distance if it weren't for the poor service and attitudes.
We had a unit function here. They were VERY welcoming and accomodating, and probably the best place around for a social function and a mob of people. But food wise? Meh... Not so great.
I visited the Blue Loon by recommendation of a friend to watch the NFC championship game. I was excited for the experience but I am not sure if I will return. I would not say it was a bad experience but it certainly fell short of my expectations. The big screen, the sound system, and variety of beer on tap were great. The food was horrendous. The pizza tasted like something out of the frozen section of a grocery store and on top of that it was burnt to a crisp! Our waitress was fine but the bartender who cashed us out was one of the rudest people I have ever met. I thought her attitude was totally uncalled for. She was working the bar on the afternoon of Jan 19, 2014 if any owner or manager is reading this.
