The food's all right, but if you're thinking to spend nice time by the lake in their restaurant, look elsewhere. The owner has bad attitude, and he directs what's going on, so be warned - go elsewhere!

Allow me to get the two very minor downsides out of the way first: 1. Our entree took quite a while to arrive. Had we not been so hungry when we arrived, we may not have noticed because the atmosphere was pleasant, the view serene and lovely, and the undisturbed conversation much appreciated. NOT a big deal this time. 2. The vegetable medley that accompanied my steak was undercooked - and while I appreciate more that they weren't over-cooked, most people would have probably found them unappetizing. I only ate about a third, of them myself. Perhaps request that your veggies be cooked to your preference. I plan to ask they be cooked just a minute or two longer next time. Again - NOT a big deal. The rest of the meal, and our whole experience for that matter was so superb that these things are barely worth mentioning - but I'd hate to see someone picky be upset by expecting more. On the very very bright sides - this was one of the best meals I've ever had in Alaska. The pepper rib eye was absolutely perfect. Melt in your mouth tender and unbelievably juicy. The flavor was sublime and the sauce that accompanied, complimented it perfectly, without overpowering the natural flavor of the cut. The garlic mashed potatoes were so aptly named - normally when you order garlic anything, you end up getting a hint of over mellowed garlic, but this balance was ideal - and the leek garnish was absolutely the right touch. I ate every bite, including the garnish. Delicious! The high point of my meal, however was the cream of asparagus soup, which I added on the spur of the moment. I'm SO glad my waitress asked me if I'd like to include soup or salad as well. This was far more appetizing than I'd have ever imagined. The bowl that arrived was beautifully served with a delicate swirl of cream accenting the pale green of soup. The texture looked a little off at first when I stirred the fresh ground pepper I'd opted for into the bowl - a bit courser than I'd imagined, but then, it does consist mostly of pureed, steamed asparagus which is exactly how the texture felt in my mouth. Once it was there, my taste buds were celebrating. I scooped every drop out of my bowl, it was so scrumptious. My husband ordered his standard cheeseburger, and what arrived was BIG, JUICY and he savored every bite. The staff didn't even bat an eye at his primitive manners... I was impressed. My husband is highly critical of a cheeseburger at those prices ($14 for the burger and beer battered fries), but even he was well pleased with what he was served. I look forward to trying their shrimp sandwich SOON for lunch.

Great view great food and service

Rock fish was fantastic. Gumbo was the best I have ever had including New Orleans! It is spicy but rich in flavor. Great service and nice atmosphere. We will definitely be coming here again.
