I happen to name this Cafe about 20 years back. Ilyas Khan, the owner proprietor of the Cafe is a Childhood friend and neighbor and had always knack for building quality business and name them differently. Prior to cafe he asked me to name his Cosmetics Store Step-In, which was very close to the same site where Banjoosa is located. Banjoosa is a small Hill Town in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and it has breath taking beauty. I had recently visited it when Ilyas Khan told me that he wanted to build a Cafe after selling his Cosmetics business and that keeping the tradition, I should name the store. Influenced by the beauty and serenity of Banjoosa and the fact that it sounded Bun + Juice, I proposed Banjoosa and that's how the Cafe Banjoosa came to being. I haven't visited the place after I moved to Dubai about 15 years ago but I hear great reviews by friends and recently Ilyas Khan told me on a telephonic conversation that he has branched out.
