Eaten here ofte-favourite Thai! Friendly service
I'm so consistently impressed with this restaurant that I just had to help put the word out. I've lived in Thames for 29 years, and have seen plenty of restaurants come and go in this town due to miss management or a gradual decline in service or food quality. But the Nakongtong has been a pleasant exception. It did close for a few years due to the elderly woman owner moving on (not dying, just selling up), but the new owners brought it back with a vengeance, making it the busiest restaurant in town. They are very friendly and laid back, not to mention hard case. And of course my hat goes off to the chief, the food is always top notch, I've never had a meal I wasn't happy with. If you ever stop in Thames for a night or two, you need to treat yourself to at least one meal at the Nakontong.
