The Olive Tree Cafe
Reviews
We ate a dinner here after walking the Milford Track. It was a great spot for a simple, no nonsense meal with good beer. The menu had big variety, the service was good and the meals came out fast. We were so impressed we came back for breakfast. The 'Chef's Brekkie' was fantastic. 5 stars for this cafe-come-resturant.
Its ok but not great, the staff dont know how to smile and show standard hospitality etiquette. Also easily confused , they forgot a friends order, it wasnt busy and we sat waiting right near the counter. Go to the sandfly cafe , much better !
Yum. Yum. YUM! You'll spend a bit of a premium here (it's Te Anau, guys), and you'll spend a hell of a lot of time trying to work out what you're going to eat because it all sounds delicious... Based on the selection we had, it'll all be delicious. Portion sizes are very large, which meant we weren't able to try more, so we actually left both satisfied and disappointed! The staff are great and a really good laugh. It's tucked away off the main drag and doesn't look like much but it's really, really worth it.
Great cheese, great dessert, great coffee, great service. Not great prices (some dishes are a bit pricey)
Expensive and bad coffee.
