great location. it is quite a classy joint. the staff were extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. the good was excellent too.

Nice place, good food and atmosphere. Service not always consistent among staff members, however Maitre d made us feel very welcome. Longish wait as was very busy and we didn't have a booking so understandable. Recommended.
A local told us it's the best restaurant in Kaikoura, so we decided to try it. I can't guarantee that it's the best one because I haven't been to all Kaikoura restaurants, but it's definitely a VERY GOOD restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was very nice and polite, and the prices ware quite reasonable, especially their specials: meal + a glass of wine. We ended up returning there for few days in a row.
Highly recommended!! The best meal we had in our 12 day trip around the South Island was at the Green Dolphin. Fabulous food and wine, and excellent service!
