They serve u beer in dirty glasses. .same for wine glasses. .and almost every thing else..they r too cheep to buy a dishwasher. .like any respectable place..I seen them once how they wash the glasses at the bar..yuk..it was disgusting. .if u go there take with u disposable cups..
A nice cafe bookstore by day and a smoke-filled gay hunting-ground by night. Still, welcomes all and sundry. Hence lower your expectations of meeting the "elite" and "artistic" people of Amman. Real elites keep to their own homes and functional Expats who are actually worth anything have their own private gatherings. What you see are mostly tourists, including social tourists.
Books@cafe is one of the highlights of living in Amman. Whether you want somewhere to take a book or laptop for some reading or work during the day, or fun socialising in the evening, Books@ is there for you. The food isn't cheap, but is decent. I highly recommend the breakfast pancake combo if you're there in the morning.
Nice and cool place
