The Dreamng Tree is a magical rooftop restuarant with hammock views of Arunchala. From the moment you enter your senses are bombarded with elegance and subtle sophistication. Shocking pink cushions and a rooftop herbal garden and we have not even looked at the menu yet... Delicious orfanic coffees, super fresh juices, home made non-alcholic ginger beer, huge fresh salads and international dishes including raw veg spring rolls and roast tempeh curry with pumpkin. All dishes are served in generous portions on exquisite Auroville hand made plates. Desserts are seriously sexy...double baked chocolate soufflé cake, cheese cake and cinnamon infused apple crumble. The Dreaming Tree exhibits local artists work and hosts Open Mike events and charity concerts as well as daytime mellow cultural programmes with a range of international musicians and teachers. Never rushed, it is an oasis that you never want to leave. Simply one of the most innovative and inviting places to relax.
