Terrible service and below average food. It took 20 mins before we were acknowledged by staff and even then it took us having to catch someone's eye. It was not busy and the table next to us, who arrived after us, were attended to, orders taken and drinks served before we were even spoken to. The food took 30 minutes to arrive which, for a fixed lunch menu at a quiet time, was unacceptable. The lasagne was mostly pasta and had almost no sauce which made it dry. The chicken burger was bland. After 20 minutes of waiting for our plates to be taken while our waitress served other people around us and ignored our plates, we had to resort to approaching the waitress and asking her to bring us our puddings. By the time we finally left, we had been there for 1 hour 45 mins for a basic and sub-par lunch. this meant we had to rush off before we could complain. Most of that time was spent waiting and being ignored. Worst service I have ever encountered in this country. I eat out a lot - it seems clear that the staff are either untrained or badly trained and the 'chef' can't cook for toffee.

Nice food, absolutely terrible service. Never again and I wouldn't recommend this venue to my worst enemy. The restaurant manager was rude and abusive when I complained that it took over two hours to bring out two courses, not sufficient waiting staff to cope with numbers and intimidating door staff. One spent the whole evening leaning on the bar glaring at my party, another accused one of my party of drinking under age when he picked up a glass of water and was in fact 18 and at the end of the evening the same man barged through us as we were leaving and knocked another person over without even apologising. I thought the doorman was supposed to get the door. The most uncomfortable evening ever. I thought I'd booked the best restaurant in Staffordshire to impress my party, instead I got an empty, cold atmosphere-less nightclub and an entirely unpleasant experience. The restaurant manager couldn't even find the grace to apologise for our disappointment and suggested I put it in writing so I have- Here. I would suggest that next time a new customer asks if they can bring a party of young people aged 18 you have the courtesy to say that you do not welcome under 25s instead of taking money under false pretences and then proceeding to bully a party who did nothing wrong apart from behave with good manners and decorum, which is more than can be said of your staff.

Poor customer service. Ridiculous waiting to order food for about 15mins when there were 3 bar staff behind the bar, other customers got served before me even though I was there waiting first. The lasagna was dry and way to much cheese. Food came out had to wait for cutlery and condiments didn't get napkins. The main disappointment was the customer service. Not going back purely on that reason alone
