What a wonderful stay we had here! -The Staff were very welcoming, especially the receptionist Lisa. -The rooms themselves were large, clean and very comfortable. -We had three fantastic nights sleep. -Food was very reasonably priced with an extensive menu and extremely tasty with good portion sizes. -Anything we needed the staff sorted out for us (eg- Taxis) -Everything was run very efficiently -We highly recommend this hotel and would stay again without hesitation!
Just had the worst Christmas Dinner absolutely shocking! Garlic mushrooms were tasty but I think all they used was one mushroom... Then roast beef for the main.. The roast potatoes looked and tasted if they had been cooked for hours. The beef was not fresh and tasted like prepacked supermarket sliced plastic beef, and when I say "tasted" there was no taste. The vegetables were so few and overcooked. The only good thing was the frozen yorkshire pudding. The only memorable thing of this meal was 3 hours later when I was ill. All in all I would not recommend this for an ejoyable meal. The only good thing I have to say is the staff were very good.
If you want cheap, tasteless, inedible, microwave-meal quality food, go here for sunday lunch! This is without a doubt the worst Sunday Lunch i've ever had. The veg was minimal and barely qualified as food. The yorkshire pudding and roasties were quite obviously that of Aunt Bessie's and where should have been my mash was Smash! Yes it was very affordable but unfortunately the contents of my plate explained why! I would not recommend this place to anyone for Sunday lunch.
