The food here is great and very tasty. The place is a very cosy and a little hectic but the staff are friendly and the food is good. Be wary if you are disabled as it may be a little tricky getting around in there (especially the spiral stairs). A little pricey but no more than other good restaurants in Exeter so don't let it stop you enjoying some good food.
a nice intimate setting, and food is tasty, HOWEVER, the owner is pushy, bad manners and some staff scruffy in their appearance for the cost. Also left still feeling hungry! A different dining experience however.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is delicious, but I can't help but think that it is adapted for the British tastebuds. Fair price considering the great location next to the cathedral.
Ate here twice - because we liked it so much the first time - during a long weekend in Exeter in July 2012. Food was excellent, wine was way more than acceptable (for a food/wine deal) and the service was very personal, yet professional. Thoroughly enjoyed this intimate dining experience.
I enjoy Al - Farid restaurant and try to visit it as often as I can. I recommend to everyone to visit this place at least once, because I am sure that after the first visit you will come back more and more and more! Thanks to all staff of Al Farid.
