Keeping with the rest of the Spanish tradition, do not expect to be treated equally if black. While my significant other was getting ready for the evening I decided to venture to the ground floor lounge. I found a spot, sat down and was timely approached to take my order. When they returned with my order (a cappuccino) the server wanted payment right there and then. He was embarrassed to ask but it was apparently black people policy that they will dine and dash. I looked around and nobody was accosted for instant payment--but that's because I was the only black guy there. I instantly complained to the manager who insisted that was the policy. 30minutes went by and I watched as people ordered, reordered, ate, drank, and then was given a bill. Not me. I again ordered a cappuncino and a new waiter delivered it with bill in hand and waited. So I told him to get the manager. This time the manager offered to compensate me. **** that. I usually stay at the W wherever they have, but they really have to hire better and stop being discriminatory no matter where they are located. Big Macs taste the same everywhere, so should the treatment of a chain hotel. With that said I'm just not returning to Barcelona and will be vocal of other blacks doing the same. PS Hotel restaurants/bars are the main reason how I choose hotels and this failed miserably.

Great place but why is there one bartender behind the bar making cocktails (takes long time), while many just wanted a beer.€5 It looks like you dont want to earn money or annoy customers I really dont get it

I loved it ! *Nice big room /// Nice lobby /// Nice wonderbar in the lobby *Free unlimited wifi in the lobby *10 minutes walk to reach La Barceloneta /// 15 minutes walk to reach La Barceloneta subway *In La Barceloneta neighborhood, you have many restos, bars and convenience stores *Bus #17 is stopping on Moll Oriental street in front of the hotel to reach La Barceloneta subway within 5 minutes or 10 minutes to Urquinaona‎ subway If you want a nice trendy hotel in Barcelona, it's the place for you ! Only negative point it's a bit far from everything, so you have to take a taxi or walk.

Perfect place to have a drink on a summer evening. The views from the terrace and the atmosphere are really good, although there isnt a high variety of drinks.

Best piont of view to see all the city and all the sea view. I like the space under the Hotel, is best of the best place in Barcelona. LOVE IT =)
