El Rinconcillo

Even though my parents live in Seville and I come often, I had never been to Rinconcillo, assuming it would be a tourist trap spot. I was so wrong! I would recommend eating in the restaurant and can say that the gazpacho, salmorejo, pork shoulder, chorizo, Jamie Iberico and croquetas were all excellent. Particularly the pork shoulder was incredible. If you want to eat in the bar for tapas, would recommend getting there for 1pm as gets really busy. Great Spanish food, but recommend the restaurant over the bar.
So typical Spanish restaurant! I like the whole decorations. The owner (or bar tender?) doesn't speak English at all and no other server during the time I went there. But it did not obstruct our communication at all! I had no idea what to order so he just recommended two tapas and I enjoyed them very much!! Also the sangria was tasty ;)
Wonderful tapas, very friendly staff and a beautiful decor. I couldn't ask for more.
Excellent recommendation from Boutique Hotel Corral del Rey in Seville, Spain. Just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel and we were in the oldest standing tavern in the whole of the city. The 1670 Tavern-Restaurant is a classic of tapas and eating. We went twice, first time for tapas on the bar area and the second time we had a sit down meal upstairs.
We crossed town under the rain to go to this place and check for ourselves. We really enjoyed the ambiance at the bar with the bartenders literally running around. The tapas were very good, unfortunately the beer was not. A place you really should not miss.
