Checked in on Sunday for a week. Had reserved a big room with fireplace...on the top floor and paid half with Paypal. Wifi was great until Monday night. Then you had to go to the lobby to get a connection. Had fresh towels twice in a week and when we booked in October, they said free breakfast. Talked to the owner who was there off and on about the wifi, said they had changed providers. Each day was spent going to surrounding towns to hike or see craftsmen. We wound up cooking breakfast in our room and eating around town. The final evening my partner asked for a discount for the breakfast and wifi. The owner completely lost it and said we were bad travelers who did not understand how things worked in third world countries..we never left the hotel and all we wanted to do was play on our computers. He threatened to call the police because we were not going to pay the bill...that was never said. he finally gave us the remaining total with no discount, and we paid that night...then he wanted to take us to another hotel! The man was out of control and said we were so mean that the staff was afraid of us. Upon leaving the following am, I thanked the staff at the desk, for all her help and she was very friendly to both of us. I have lived many years in 3rd world areas, and know what not to expect, The staff were great and helpful, but the owner and his wife were rude and threatening. If the owner changed I would go back because of eh staff.
