Drove my family from Winnipeg up to see the nice little village of Wakefield. We thought this place was going to be a nice place to have lunch, and though the decor was quaint, and staff pleasant, the food was terrible. Don't go here to eat! It is more for drinks on a patio than a half decent place for dinner. Ordered the soup, the only thing that wasn't half bad, spicy carrot apple, was a decent portion but needed seasoning. My parents order fish and chips, the fish were two pieces of frozen boxed fish that had been re-fried a few times dry and yucky, and I ordered a Asian salmon burger which was so disgusting and dry I ate one bite and left it on the plate. It seems like it had been leftover smoked salmon, that they then tried to turn into a patty and put on teriyaki sauce on it. Yuck! After my mom insisted on complaining, they did nothing to rectify the issue, and still charged us the exorbitant $16.99 a plate. The kids plates were a rip off too, a quesadilles plate was half a pita with cheese and that was $8 each!! Unbelievable! Don't eat here! Food prices are beyond ridiculous, how they managed to stay open is beyond anyone's expectations?
