Sucrerie du Terroir
Reviews
I read the reviews of the place and was please with the feedback people seemed to be giving. I then visited the site and felt like it was one of those low-key family owned businesses so I decided to choose that location for my day off excursion. I called in to get a bit more information to ensure I don't take a long drive with my family and friends for nothing however the first sentence out of the owner's mouth was "Don't you have a computer?! I paid a lot of money for that site so why don't you use it?" I have to admit I was ridiculously baffled as this had to either be the worst customer service I have ever been shown or this gentleman must have had a very unpleasant day. My review should only be considered as far as customer service goes. I did not have a chance to try the food however I do know the area which is relatively secluded, I don't know about the lodge, but the roads to get there I usually quite beautiful. I most likely won't be trying this location in the near future not until the owner takes a class in basic customer service or leaves the customer service to someone a bit more qualified.
I was able to attend a breakfast and supper at this location. Both meals were great and the food never runs out! The breakfast was a calmer experience compared to the dancing and singing that follows the supper. If you are with a group of people who would like to have some fun, the supper is the way to go. The location is a bit far out but it is definitely worth the drive. It seems as though there were more bilingual people working in the evenings if you are worried you will not be able to get by, however, it is pretty straight forward:) Great experience overall!
The absolute best cabane à sucre I have ever been to in my life. Worth the drive, the money and the experience. The food is fantastic, the service was just amazing, and the atmosphere was utterly perfect. Seriously, you will have mulitple maple-foodgasms here. DO IT!
Excellent! No other words to describe it!
