Awesome food, great service!
Marathon's only Chinese restaurant. We decided to try it. Ordered curry chicken and ginger beef to go. It took forever...I waited 30 minutes in the restaurant for the order and that was after leaving, running to the store, and coming back. Judging from the looks on other patrons' faces, I wasn't the only one waiting. The food, when we got it back to the motel room, was quite good. However, there was no rice!! I've never ordered "Chinese" food and not gotten rice. Oh well, no big deal I guess. The portions were quite large and very tasty. Mine was the ginger beef: beef, ginger slices, pineapple, onion, green pepper in a spicy bean sauce. I was very pleased. So yeah, they were really slow and didn't give us any rice. I can't fault them on the slow but I can fault them on the rice. I can't fault them on the slow because hey, it's Marathon. Small towns in the boonies always run things slow, it is a different world and you can't expect big city service in a town with 2000 people. Great if you can find it and get it, but you can't cry about it if you don't. Other than the slow, the food was very good. Maybe a little high priced, but its Canada and they have crazy taxes and just about every freaking thing has to be trucked in from Thunder Bay which is 300 Km away so again, prices a little higher than expected are not a big deal to me.
