christmass party dinner had the pickerel ! WOW
The owner and his wife are amazing, the clientele is generally also above board, lending to a positive atmosphere, however, some of the workers "skim off the top". On a Friday or Saturday, expect your tab to be twice as large as it should be. Vern's is a great afternoon or weekday hangout, but is to be avoided during peak hours as each drink can almost double in price, depending on your server.
Great food, staff is even better and the beer is always cold! Heaven on earth. Enough said.
I just moved away from Kingsville and I was really sad that I couldn't get Vernon's Tap & Grill. Especially their Pizza! Every one, where I moved to, says that Little Caesars is the best pizza in the world, ya, until you try Vernon's Tap & Grill. Even though Vernon's is a bit more expensive, a few bucks is totally worth it!
